Sunny, mostly strong crosswinds, headwinds
Last night we camped at Glacier Meadow RV Park about five miles short of Marias Pass. Today we finished what should have been a leisurely ride to the pass and then down to the town of East Glacier, however, we had strong crosswinds that wanted to blow us off the road that often switched to headwinds that increased the difficulty of climbing and even going downhill.
Finally we made it to East Glacier where we picked up our rental van at Glacier Park Trading Co., loaded the bikes in and headed to St. Mary's Lodge for three nights in one of their motel rooms.
We are taking two rest days to enjoy a vacation within a vacation and enjoy the east side of Glacier National Park.
