Thanks everyone for your comments.  We're enjoying them.

Today we checked out of St Mary's lodge and returned the van in East Glacier.  It was a fun couple of days.

We started riding at about 12:30 thinking we would ride to a campground twelve miles away for an easy day, but once we realized how strong of a tailwind we had we decided to go for the next campground.  Since we were making great time we decided to go on to Cut Bank, MT for 46 miles and a warmshowers host.  A bed is always nicer than an air mattress and sleeping bag.  Also, our host, Genevieve, prepared us a great stir fry supper.  Other factors included a nice temperature and a nice wide shoulder in excellent condition.

While today we had many rolling hills, we are also getting into the wide open plains of eastern Montana.

Leaving the mountains behind.  About 50 miles away at this point.

Riding on Hwy 2 and on the Lewis and Clark trail at this point.  We're also riding along the Montana Hi-Line.
