Some headwind, rainy afternoon
Today we continued our ride along the Pend Oreille River, thirty miles on the quiet Le Clerc Road, then about twenty-five miles on a busier Dufort Road. Our destination was the tourist town of Sandpoint, Idaho.
At our lunch stop today (McDonalds), we ran into Denny, ancother bicyclist who also camped at Panhandle Campground last night. Denny is from Los Angeles and is riding the whole length of the Northern Tier Route, from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. Since we were leaving McDonalds at the same time the three of us rode together to Sandpoint, ID. As we left McDonalds it started to rain. Outside of the couple of hours of rain we had the first day this was the first day of rain. The temperature stayed in the 50's all day, however we did survive and all our gear stayed dry.
In Sandpoint we stayed in another bike hostel. Denny stayed there also.
Today marked a milestone. We completed riding through the state of Washington.
