After a long Sunday ride of 68 miles, first with a headwind of up to 10 mph in the morning, then with a rainy afternoon, we took a more leisurely ride on Monday.  Since we got to sleep in real beds at the hostel, we slept in an extra hour.  Then we ate breakfast in a restaurant (which we will probably always do when available), made a quick stop at Walmart and off we went by 10:00 am. (Our normal departure time has been 8:30.). A couple of hours later we stopped for a snack in Hope.  We each bought a slice of burnt pizza and then continued on our way.

When we got to Clark Fork we ate lunch at The Pantry, a place recommended by the waitress who served us breakfast in Sandpoint.  Their sandwiches were very good, although all food is very good to us now.  As we were getting ready to leave we discovered Mary's back tire was flat.  After a half hour delay to fix it, 3:00 came and we were off.

About half way through the afternoon ride we entered Montana and changed to Mountain Time Zone.  By the time we got to Two Rivers RV Campground it was 7:00 and we had ridden a relaxing 46 miles.

This whole day Denny rode with us.  He said the time goes by faster when he is with people and has someone to talk with.  However, he wanted to get more miles in, so he continued on.
